Overview

The Planning Division plays a very important role in achieving the City’s goals and objectives related to the physical development of Monrovia. The Division’s responsibility falls into five broad categories: Current planning; long-range planning; historic preservation; transportation, and air quality.

Planning Division Staff assist residents, property owners, realtors, and architects in understanding and applying the City’s zoning and subdivision ordinances. In addition, Staff supports the City Council, Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, and Development Review Committee.
